Dr. Himadri Nath Saha has completed his Bachelor of Engineering from Jadavpur University and has received his Master of Engineering from Indian Institute of Engineering, Science and Technology(IIEST, Shibpur). After completing his Master of Business Administration, he has completed his Ph.D. in Engineering from Jadavpur University. He has received a good number of awards during his career and some of them include “Gold Faculty Award” from Infosys Technology Limited in 2013, “Outstanding Contribution Award” from Infosys Technology Limited in 2011. He has been conferred as “Best Innovative Faculty” from Infosys Technology Limited in 2012 for implementing an unique innovative case study on operating systems. He has been awarded the “Best Faculty” award from Institute of Engineering & Management in 2011. Dr. Saha is the "Fellow" of many premiere organisations like Institution of Engineers India(IEI) and The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineers(IETE), India and senior member of IEEE(USA). He has also written a textbook on “Database Management System” which became popular among students. He has been invited to address students and professors from University of Connecticut, USA. He has lots of collaborations with many worldwide renowned professors in the field of research like Dr. Philip G Bradford, University of Connecticut, Dr. Lanier Watkins, Johns Hopkins University, USA, Dr. Babak Esfandiari, Carleton University, Canada, Dr. Detlef Streitferdt, Technische University Ilmenau, Germany, Dr. Mamun Quazi, Charles Sturt University, Australia, Robert P. Schumaker, University of Texas, Tyler  & many more. He is one of the executive committee members of IEEE Kolkata Section. He is the Branch Counselor of IEEE Student Branch & Faculty Head of ACM Student Chapter.

 

Apart from his excellent academic record he also possesses commendable managerial skills. He has organized and served as Technical Chair of many world-class conferences with IEEE in India as well as abroad like IEEE-IEMCON, IEEE-UEMCON, IEEE-CCWC, IEMECON etc.. He is a branch councilor of the  IEEE  and ACM Student Branch. Prof. Saha teaches a number of courses for both graduate and post-graduate students. The courses include Data Structure and Algorithms, Formal Language and Automata Theory, Operating Systems, Computer Networks, Compiler Design and Network Security & Cryptography. He has more than 15 years of teaching experience. He functions as Co-ordinator of Internal Quality Assurance Cell. He has been invited to address students and professors of several top universities of India and abroad as a visiting professor, like Jadavpur University, Calcutta University, Globsyn Business School and many more. He has conducted many workshops on IoT in India as well as abroad (like University of Nevada, Las Vegas).

 

His research interest includes Machine Learning, IOT, Wireless Communication, Mobile Ad-hoc Networks, Network Security, Cryptography and Algorithms. He has several publications in many International Journals and Conferences with many citations.
